Why this exists
Most China travel content is written for people who already understand the country. It lists attractions, not the ten minutes at a payment terminal that decide whether the day works. This site starts from the other end: what breaks, and what to do about it.
How we research
Three inputs, in this order of authority:
- Official documentation — government portals, railway and airline operators, payment providers. These decide any number, rule or phone number.
- First-hand traveller reports — forums, reviews and community threads. These tell us what the documentation leaves out, such as which verification step fails in practice.
- Our own testing where it is possible. Where it is not, we say so rather than implying we have been there.
How we stay honest
- Every guide carries a review date. Content older than six months goes back into the review queue.
- Fees, limits and policies link to a source, or are described as reported and marked for verification.
- Commercial links are labelled. We do not accept payment for placement, ranking or a positive review.
- Corrections are welcome and are made on the page, not in a private reply.
What we do not do
We do not sell your data, gate core information behind an account, or give legal, medical or financial advice. For visa decisions, use the official immigration channels; for medical decisions, use a doctor.
